Winemaking

Hand-harvested, no fining and very light filtration. The vineyard sits high (around 325 m), on thin, stony limestone soil, south/south-east facing, near the border with Volnay. Planted in 1966, ~2,200 bottles/year. 47 ares. The name «Pierrefitte» («Pièce Fitte») derives from dolmens and menhirs (prehistoric stone monuments) found on the site.
